WINNER      Winner - Anchored Whilst playing tourist on the glass bottom boat, we visited one of the small remote islands. I was standing in chest deep water and only a few metres from the boat when I took this shot. What looks like green water is actually the coral reef - emp ......      Winner - Just Floating I love the contrast of the white tenders on the blue waters It just looked so stunning. In PS, I added a LBB cooling filter to bring out the pink & purpley hues and cropped the image to reduce the quantity of the beac ......      Second Place - Seeing Stars The world beneath the waters of the ocean is a myriad of shapes and textures, totally bizarre to the above. I took this close up image of a Holothuroidae (sea cucumber). This particular species, Thelenota ananas is quite common and comes in variety ......   THIRD PLACE      Third Place - Beneath the Storm Whilst trying to establish a visual approach to the airstrip, the pilot dropped below the cloud base. I took the opportunity to capture the magnificent scenery whilst circling. The sun caste an unusual hue which made it more dramatic. Unfortunately ......      Third Place - Walk into the Scene It was late in the afternoon but the sunlight was still quite harsh casting a strange hue over the exposed algae covered rocks. Even the clouds had a strange appearance with their reflection mirrored on the rockpools. Within minutes of taking this image the colours went from this glorious orange to a muted pink. Isn't nature grand! ......      Third Place - Doldrum Sunset I had been waiting for the right time of the year when the sun would be setting in line with the entrance of this small tidal pool. I finally got lucky, not only with the sunset but with the calmness of the ocean. ......   HONORABLE      Honorable - Scarlet O'Hara This gorgeous day lily caught my eye as I wandered around the garden. Making a hasty detour I made a bee-line for a clump of coconut palms on the foreshore as I thought they'd make a wonderful silhouette against the setting sun. On this particular day he was caught in a very heavy downpour. He stood on the clothes line looking very bedraggled, but I think the look on his face really tells the story! ......      Honorable - Dawn at the Jetty It was dark when I arrived at the jetty, but within a short space of time the colours of the sky went from dark pinks to oranges to yellows. ......      Honorable - Coconut Sunset The sky just lit up as the sun disappeared behind the clouds. The colours were almost too unbelievable. I was using a compact camera on "P" and all I did in PSCS was to lighten the exposure. ......      Honorable - Devil's Eye While I was focussed on another subject I felt that something was focussed on me. She was too small to climb out, so I ended up placing the pot on its side. It then became a favourite hiding place for her. ......      Honorable - The Old Jetty The dark skies on the horizon and the old timbers of the jetty spurred me into trying my hand at converting a rather boring colour image into black & white. This is my first attempt and I am very pleased with the result.
