| Re-composition - Make It Simple - Sometimes my camera goes to work with me as we have some nice plants and blooming flowers from time to time. There is a bed of Shasta Daisies in one of the inner court-yards that have lovely blossoms in the late spring. This May/June, I was taking photos around 07:30 am, after the hours of my duty, and I noticed the lovely blue sky toward the southwest, opposite the rising sun. Tips and Tricks on Photo Shooting - Take your camera everywhere you go. Let it be a part of your everyday journey. But, do more than that, listen to the small voice inside yourself when it tells you "that would make a good picture!" You can always erase a photo later, but sometimes you can never re-capture those missed opportunities! Every shot you take does not have to be perfect, so experiment, take your time, and you will learn. Fun with Paper-Whites - I didn't care for the lines in the door, so thought I'd try some colors. One of the first purchases I made when starting to take photos was a variety of colors of simple postor boards. I learned this trick from Johnny Film Boy, who has posted items and tutoritals on this web-site. When I bought this, I was attempting to have different colors of background for dandelions, and then later used postor boards for some of the competitions we have had in POTY. |
